I am not sure what I am looking at with this coin. Can someone help me determine the right terminology for the error (s) on this coin? I was going to list on ebay but not sure it is worth it. Thank you in advance.

It isn't an error, just damage. PMD. Do not put it up on ebay. Only worth face value.

better images are required here (without the scope screen shots. and less glare, and maybe a nice closeup.

Don't need any more pictures, 100% damage.

I may have had bad images. Is it a clipped planchet?
Is it just PMD? I am a bit thrown by the missing letters Liberty and Dollar.
I do appreciate all your comments. Just showing better images.

Maybe a prior owner was trying to fake a clipped planchet by inexpertly damaging the coin?

Definitely 100% PMD. The edge has been pushed in, from a hit, causing the metal to get displaced. Here's what a genuine Clipped Planchet looks like. https://www.error-ref.com/_curved_clips_/

riz36,
I agree with PMD. Also in future posts, please do not post photos of your scopes screen, use a memory card in it.

If it were a clip, the area 180 degrees from the clip would show weakness (Blakesley Effect). This coin is just damaged.

Not necessarily true. Some clips don't show the effect. Especially the bigger ones. But this coin is all damage. The weak letters are from a hard hit on the rim that bend the coin.
