New acquisition today. Thoughts? Thanks!  CHINA, Northern Sòng dynasty. Huizong. AD 1100-1125. Æ 10 Cash (41mm, 18.40 g). Cast AD 1102-1106. Da Guan Tong Bao in shòujinshu; Hànzì (slender gold script) characters / Blank. BN, Chinoises III 2112-5; Hartill 16.426. Brown-green patina with light earthen deposits, some porosity, a few edge marks. From the Norman Frank Collection. Nice looking NS, but a field I have absolutely no knowledge of. Wouldn't be able to tell a genuine coin from a replica.

Thanks @IGE. Frankly, I am also not qualified to authenticate this coin, but I am relying on the researchers at the auction house to confirm authenticity as their terms indicate that their items are authentic. I also couldn't tell a real Picasso or Rembrandt from a fake one. From their auction terms:  Could it still be fake? Sure, but I don't really have time to become an authentication expert in everything that I collect. Thankfully there are experts you can rely on in most popular fields. As usual I do everything backwards. Purchased a copy of David Hartill's "Cast Chinese Coins," the definitive reference in this area of numismatics. Lo and behold, the coin in the cover of the reference book is the coin in this thread.
