When 1909/1909VDB first came out were they in their original shotgun rolls? and if yes how much would a roll like that cost. Any links would be appreciated

Some full, BU rolls were put together in '09. "Original" is a relative term and I'm not sure if the mint issued rolls but I'm certain banks did. Q. David Bowers mentions in his Lincoln Cent book that he bought UNC rolls of 1909-S VDBs in the early 1950's!

A BU roll of '09-VDBs should run about $2,000 today. The '09 plains might be around $1,000.

Just my thoughts.

I would say a roll in 1909 would have cost 50 cents.
