There are three types of coins on the market. The red, blue, and clear packets. The Blue is UNC. Correct. What are the red and clear packets for? Or am I totally incorrect? It has been years since messing with these coins, so things are fuzzy. I also have coins mainly pennies and dimes in cellophane protectors. Is this from the mint or after-market?

I think what you mean are Red-silver sets...Blue-clad proof sets...Clear-mint state and satin finish sets.

If you are talking about the MS sets I believe the colors represent the different mints.

You are correct about the colors representing the mints. I have a 69 in blue, 69D in red. But what are the clear sealed packages. The sealed color packages are UNC or Proofs? Then the clear plastic is the other. And the sullifane?

I don't know when they started the color coding but this coin(s) are before that.

You can see there are lots of colors but my proof set from 1961 is older, It might be proofs are colorless.

Thank you. I think you have answered my question. The colored packages represent the different mints as UNC. The clear are the proof packets. The other sullifane packets are after market storage. Thank you again. I only have individual packets. Not packs.
