Bryan1315 Bedrock of the Community United States 14454 Posts	Posted 04/23/2009 07:24 am wow I can't believe someone else that is knowledgeable in this type hasn't chimed in but I am sorry to tell you but the coin looks like a definite fake to me, I have never seen one dime sized but I have seen the design like yours on copies of the dollars that looks like yours where it looks like Liberty is growling. I am absolutely no expert on these things but this sure does look like the copies I just mentioned and since there was no dimes like that minted with that date that kind of makes me think it is fake as well. Here is a link to the Bust Dollars that are known fakes and if you scroll down to the 7th picture with the caption above the coin saying "COYOTE" you will see a 1799 counterfeit that I was talking about http://home.comcast.net/~reidgold/d.../page_7.html but I am pretty confident in telling you this coin is not real even if it is the size of a dollar Report this Post to the Staff
