I saw these 2 Franklin's in an auction and I am curious if the luster would make a difference in grading between the 2 coins.

The '62 maybe a proof? Otherwise, not a lot to go on here.

I was just wondering if they would grade differently given one seems to have been open to the air. Both look to be very clean coins - no nicks.

The 1962 isn't listed as a proof but that doesn't mean it isn't one. I think its quite possible that it is a proof.

The 62 has the look of a proof while the 63 does not...going with these poor photos.

grades cannot be assigned due to missing reverses but based on your actual question the 62 is a proof and the 63 a business strike
