This coin was found metal detecting a farm field in New England; it measures 14mm. Any help with an ID would be greatly appreciated!

looks like it might be a fractional rupee from India, maybe from the times of the Mughals, but I'm just guessing, might be way off

I believe it's pure silver; a lot of the old silver we pull here has a type of horn crust.
