Hi all. Going through my mint sealed bags, and in the 2010 Mount Hood quarters I find this coin with some Reeding Marks on the obverse. What would cause this? Off-center? Collar error?

Your coin has Collar Clash. The obverse die hit the reeded collar at some point and that left the imprint of the reeds. All of the coins struck with the obverse die after the clash will most likely have the same pattern in the rim.

collar clash. Cool find, I haven't seen any (til now) on the newer quarters, thanks for sharing.

Anvil die collar clash. Extremely rare in coins struck with the traditional die setup (obverse die as hammer die). Much more common in coins struck with the inverted die setup, like this quarter.
