Digital pick from ebay. Not sure about the diagnosis on this one. There appears to be a Blakesley effect, as well as metal flow from the top edge of the devices. On the other hand, there is quite a bit of banging around the edge of the clip and the rim corners. That A leg in the metal flow area bugs me.

Is this a legitimate clipped planchet nickel that has been knocked around in circulation? Or did someone fake a clip? The coin was identified as a clipped nickel in the ebay auction listing, although I bought it for peanuts.

Glad to hear that you guys believe it's a legit clip. =)

It's a pity that it took some circulation dings on the key features, but it was a cheap coin and fun to buy on ebay.
