I have two questions... Is this a floating roof penny? The FG is very obscured, as if Struck Through Grease. Also, is the weight of the penny (3.01 grams) correct ? Thanks

I just verified that the average weight of the 1969D penny should be 3.11 grams. So the weight of this coin (3.01 grams) is rather low. Perhaps I should use another scale? Your opinions please... thank you

Floating roof is just an excessively polished die. Some collect them, but I don't think they have any premium.

As for the weight, it is within mint tolerance, for copper cents it is +/- .13 grams.

If you like it, keep it! Only costs you 1 cent.

Very common for that year. No premium. Caused by excessive die polishing.
