PCGS - Many individuals can find fantastic PCGS-graded coins less than $100 (as of this writing) that are both intriguing and hold great intrinsic value. While there are many coins that fit that description, here is a rundown on some highly sought-after coin series offering multitudes of PCGS-graded specimens that can be bought for around $100 or less.

A PCGS-graded MS64RB Indian cent is one of many great buys that collectors and investors can make for around $100 or less!

Morgan & Peace Dollars Grading PCGS MS63 to MS64
PCGS-graded MS63 and MS64 Morgan dollars and Peace dollars collectively struck from 1878 through 1935, are perennially popular buys. Many dates grading MS64 can be had in the $90 to $105 range, though you can also land some scarcer dates in the slightly lower but still-desirable MS63 grade.

Walking Liberty Half Dollars Grading PCGS MS63 to MS65
The Adolph A. Weinman motif on the Walking Liberty half dollar has been widely declared as one of the most beautiful designs ever seen on a U.S. coin. The Walking Liberty half dollar, struck from 1916 through 1947, offers many opportunities for collectors to score a resplendent example grading from MS63 to MS65 for somewhere in the range of $75 to $125. High-grade PCGS-encapsulated Walking Liberty half dollars are virtually always in demand!

Mint State Franklin Half Dollars
Franklin half dollars does not offer any tremendous rarities from the standpoint of low mintages, but there are many notable condition rarities in the series, struck from 1948 through 1963. Nice Franklin Dollars in PCGS MS64 or higher grades are much more difficult to locate than one might expect, while pieces designated by PCGS as "FBL" (Full Bell Lines) carry additional premiums. Nice PCGS-graded Franklin halves in MS64FBL or MS65FBL or examples grading MS65 through MS66+ are available in the price range of $75 to $110 per coin.

Choice Mint State Indian Cents
The popular Indian cent series, in production from 1859 through 1909, includes a large number of PCGS-graded issues that are available in the affordable yet desirable grades of MS63BN through MS64RB. Common-date examples in that grade range are often overlooked by many collectors, yet especially nice examples are always in demand by collectors. Indian cents in MS63BN, MS63RB, MS64BN, and MS64RB are listed in the PCGS Price Guide for as little as $65, $85, $85, and $130, respectively.

Putting it All Together.
No matter which of these series you decide to focus on, you can build a nice PCGS Registry Set (or many sets, plural) from your affordable buys. Short sets are often the most economical way to reach a sense of completion while avoiding formidable keys and pricey semi-keys. For example, the 1941-47 Walking Liberty half dollar short set is a popular vehicle for collectors who want to build a handsome set of Walking Liberty half dollars while circumventing the expensive pre-1934 issues and even the costly 1938-D semi-key issue. You're bound to find other challenging yet approachable categories on the PCGS Set Registry, too.

The only $100 PCGS coins I've found recently that interested me were sharply struck 1913-1916P Buffalo nickels.
