that is correct but carbon spots look different than this. great closeup of the those areas Roma. too me it looks organic. I don't think acetoning the coin would affect its value. the only thing it could do is lighten the overall coin
just to give you an idea on value. I found one thats very similar to yours, it was listed for $255 and was graded F15 cleaned and one VF details for $199. I found two details that sold VF 20 details for $137 the other VF20 details for $160
