Hello all, I am brand new to the sport and was wondering if anyone had any advice they could give me. I don't know anything about it. What is the proper way to dig holes w/o leaving a mess. I don't even know how to use my metal detector. I just push on and go. I find mostly trash and bear tabs. I think I'm up to 1.11 in change. I have a bounty hunter discovery 1100. Any help out there?

The more I read these other posts the more I am finding out that the Garret ace 250 seems to be a better piece of equipment. Would it be wise for me to upgrade to that before wasting more time with the bounty hunter 1100
