Here is my second request for help. Same type of coin and same type of picture problems. I could not get the fact that it has almost a mirror finish and what seems to be full luster to show up in the photos. It either would reflect the camera or turn too dark or too light.

Same very strong polishing lines that do not flow through the design but under it so same question applies here. Is this part of minting process or a very good polishing effort after the fact.

It looks to me like the lines are from when the die was polished. That is why they are most prominent on the fields - those are the highest part of the die.

Under very high magnification, die polishing lines can be seen to be raised above the surface of the coin.

Your coin doesn't look whizzed to me...you would see a boundary around the devices where the brush was stopped.
Most of my NFLD 5c have very strong die polishing marks--that looks to be the case here.
These are tough to grade from pics, but yours are good. I might guess AU55.

thank you! that is a relief. is there somewhere I can find images of something silver that is whizzed so I can see the difference? any pics? :)

I do have a whizzed one somewhere...no pics tonight though. Another day.
Btw, yours is the "Low 44, Low C" variety. A slightly higher CV in Charest than the high 44.

Very nice coin, doesn't look whizzed to me. Excellent detail very close to MS grade. AU-58.
