Another eagle coin, I am curious to know how would grade it. The smallest Second Empire french one.

1 centime 1855 MA, Marseille

France-1-Centime,-1855-Marseille

The metal in these coins shows a brilliant surface when mint new. But it tarnishes very easily. It is difficult to judge what is wear and what is tarnish. The photo was taken with sunlight.

agree, high end AU, for signs of wear look at the highest points o each side- eagle's chest/ cheek/brow/ear. Looks like it's showing very slight wear, but hard to be sure from the photo,

Thank you. I know the small coins of Napoleon III are not easy to evaluate with photos because of the low relief.
