I have been puzzling over how to label coins from the first strike rolls. As I understand it the rolls are made up of circulation coins but the coins have not actually been in circulation. So are they considered circulation coins or uncirculated coins?

@smp If they have not been in circulation, they are considered uncirculated coins.

There is a difference between circulation coins and circulated coins.
Circulation coins include all coins that are meant for use.
Circulated coins are only those that have already been used.
Once you remove coins from the First Strike rolls they are indiscernible from regular everyday uncirculated coins. They only hold their value while in the roll, or if you send an intact roll to a TPG for grading. Do not remove coins from First Strike rolls.
