smauggie Valued Member United States 271 Posts	Posted 07/26/2024 1:43 pm Die cracks are usually raised from the surface of the coin. If you see a crack and it forms a crevice in the coin it is almost certainly post-mint damage ( PMD). Report this Post to the Staff
okiecoiner Pillar of the Community Canada 5585 Posts	Posted 07/26/2024 1:57 pm Those aren't die cracks; they are cracks in the outer layer of the composite Canadian coins. It could be heat and then rapid cooling or something else. It didn't happen at the Mint. Report this Post to the Staff
