I've had this coin in my collection for 20 years or more but never really looked at it. When I took it out to take a few pictures I instantly saw that it had doubling on IN GOD WE TRUST. What a nice surprise! After I finished with the images, I checked Wexler's Guide to Die Varieties and found the coin looks like a match for WDDO-011, which was another nice surprise. It's really difficult to show the die markers in the pictures, but in hand, they are easy to match. I also found a small area under the A in DOLLAR on the reverse that looks to be a lamination 'flap' that's still attached. I'll try to get another image of this anomaly from a better angle. Take a look and let me know if you think I have the correct attribution number in mind. ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! Wexler's site (WDDO-011), and cross reference to the CONECA site (DDO-009) both show a die scratch marker from the bottom of the nose to the upper lip. I can see that marker on stage B, C, and D on the DDO-009's in my collection, and Wexler's photo of the WDDO-011. I do not see it in your photo. I think your 64D is most likely just minor or a Master Die example, note the first T in TRUST on your half. You can prove me wrong if you can show me a photo of the marker on your half dollar.

@atrox001 No problem. That was the exact die marker I was referring to as being hard for me to photograph. It's also the marker that gave it away as the WDDO-011. I still have to pull the coin back out to shoot a couple of different angles on the Lamination, so when I do, I'll try to get the die scratch from Kennedy's nose to his lip using my digital microscope camera. The image above was done with an iPhone and breaks down when you zoom in. I'll try to get the pictures tonight or tomorrow morning.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of the image on John Wexler's Die Variety page. Click on the picture for a larger image

Congratulations on the find. The separation on the U of TRUST, in your images, is what did it for me.

Nice find. The notches don't lie, markers can.
