Hi and thanks for your responses. I am a newbie here. It was a learning process to learn how to upload pictures. I think I got it. Thank you for your patience.
By taking a close up I see it has corrosion. So I really doubt it is worth anything.

However, for me I would really like to know where to research. I did find info about regular '47 pennies but nothing indicated that any were red. That is what confused me. Really appreciate any help or directions.

The red color was caused by environmental damage. Might have been a metal detecting find or it was outside at one time. It's not worth very much in this condition.

Lincoln cents can go from a now brassy color to dark brown and any color in between depending on the environment it was in.
