1970 S LMC Received in in change yesterday Thought I would share.
Thoughts,Comments,Goofy Icons, Whatever. It seems to be Lincoln season
now and it caught my attention. Only thing I can think of is people are turning in there old change jugs, This does not look like it traveled at all in hand. the doubling looks more rounded in hand with definite separation in the serif of the "S" (quick photo by hand with desk lamp) Sure that it is some sort of Machine Doubling. Anybody else noticing very nice older cents in change lately?

Stewart, I search 3 to 4 boxes of cents a week and am seeing the same thing. I am really surprised at the number of pre-1930s I am seeing right now. I think you are correct. The old coin jars are being turned into cash and some very nice coins are sliding back into circulation. Sure wish I had a coinstar franchise about right now.

I just cashed in about 400.00 worth out of a jug that I had throw all my pocket change into when I have change. I don't even bother going through all that stuff because there is nothing in pocket change that excites me one little bit, I just fill it up and take it to the bank where the teller takes it and runs it through the counter and then she puts ever how much is in the jug into my account. I know there were quite a few wheat cents in it this time (and GOD only knows what else) because my mother had brought a hand full over here a few months ago
