This is from 3 hours yesterday and 2 hours today. A silver earring to top it off. Hit 2 schools this morning one ended up being a bust. What a drag. All in all a pretty good weekend.

Nice haul. I had to go to the company crawfish boil today so I could not detect.. The owners of the ranch where it was held laughed at me when I asked if I could come back and metal detect tomorrow.

Hopefully you will be back at it in no time Tim. If I lived closer to the beach I would be all over it too. I did do the beach thing once, but it was in July and my buddy couldn't take the heat so we left after about 45 minutes. But I did find a silver necklace with in the first 15 minutes of looking. Wasn't a total waste.

I haven't had crawfish (or crawdads as we used to call them) in years. I remember they were good eating. Maybe when the ranch owners get done laughing they will let you do some hunting. I have gotten responses like that from time to time. They usually stop laughing when I tell them about the gold and silver I find.

looks like you're well on the way to paying off your detector. Nice finds and a whole lot of clsd. Congrats. Is that a gold ring on the right side of the pic? Congrats again if it is.

No it isn't Davest. When I dug it up it looked like a winner until I got home and looked under a magnification. Eyes aren't what they used to be. The silver earring is the only jewelry this outing. The detector has already paid for itself. Actually have paid for 2 detectors. First one I had paid for in about 5 months and the second one took another 9 months.

Nice weekend haul...it takes me longer than a weekend to pile up that much-although still a relative rookie. Still need lots of practice and technique refining...
