Hey coinnoisseurs, this one looks like a cap strike/lamination issue. you can kinda se a double date but in a very odd position. The coin is slightly rotated to its left, weights about right but has a weird strike thru look as well. thoughts? I see a bit of PMD but it might be part of the error.

Thanks Mike!! Why does it seem to have a 1972 on the shoulder? Or it might just be a circulation hit

Looks like a thru a die cap strike and the tell tail edge feature, though very less apparent on this one.

Alonzowick90, I can't tell if that's a correctly-facing, incuse "72" on Lincoln's shoulder or merely a simulacrum. If these really are numbers, then it would indicate that the die cap rotated before the strike responsible for your coin. But had that been the case, I would have expected to see a greater number of correctly-facing, incuse design elements.
Error coin writer and researcher.
