The serifs at the tips of the letters are distinctive of the various dynasties that ruled modern-day Iraq, Syria and Turkey in the "mediaeval Islamic" period, roughly contemporary with the Crusades. That's about as narrow an ID as I can offer at this stage. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C.
