Sullivan Numismatics - PCGS 1972-D Eisenhower dollar struck on a Philippine 1 piso planchet. The off-metal Ike shows light gold surfaces, which are from the alloy used for Philippine 1 pesos, and is also underweight and smaller in diameter, and has a weight of only 14.4 grams (normal for an Ike is 22.6 grams) The U.S. struck coins for the Philippines, which is how a planchet from this country was struck into an Ike dollar!
