Sullivan Numismatics - PCGS 1972-D Eisenhower dollar struck on a Philippine 1 piso planchet. The off-metal Ike shows light gold surfaces, which are from the alloy used for Philippine 1 pesos, and is also underweight and smaller in diameter, and has a weight of only 14.4 grams (normal for an Ike is 22.6 grams) The U.S. struck coins for the Philippines, which is how a planchet from this country was struck into an Ike dollar! Nice "error", but the $1800.00 asking price will keep it out of my collection.

Yep - same here. We could however pass the hat and take up a collection for jbuck to buy it.

I was off the clock, that is where I was.

$1800 is a big ask when I still have an 09SVDB and 16D to buy.

But still... I would not kick this one out of my PCGS set.
