I'm a small-time ebay seller. Almost everything I sell meets the "standard envelope" requirements, and I take full advantage of it. But from time to time it's not offered in the drop down list. I do see another option called "standard shipping". Today I tried to list a lot of three coins that met ebay's requirements, but standard envelope wasn't offered. I've learned that you have to avoid certain classifications or words, so I almost never classify under "mixed lot". So this should not have happened.

Does anyone know for sure if "standard shipping" and ebay standard envelope refer to the same thing? BTW here's one of my listings that I was able to use standard envelope with.

Are the envelope dimensions and weight below the specified thresholds? If you entered something outside the ebay shipping parameters, it will get grayed out or removed from the selection list. Your coins must also be in the coin branch of the item type tree, because you can only ship coins, cards, currency with the ebay envelope system.

Brandmeister, I'm very familiar with the criteria. What I'm really hoping is that someone can answer my question. Thanks for your feedback.

I tried re-listing the aforementioned lot today and was able to use standard envelope this time around.
