1974-Jefferson-Nickel-Error-Or-Damage?

Was guessing annealing error, but it looks quite excessive compared to what I can find online.

Thanks

to the CCF, HECUBUS! You nickel looks like a Dryer Coin - is the edge wider than other nickels? Also, what is the diameter of your coin?

I believe you are correct. I compared it to a 1941 Jefferson and they both appear to have been through a dryer a few times. It does have a lot of uniform damage. The photo fooled me, looked unusual.

Thanks
