Some kind of waste piece of metal from cutting the metal to square it before cutting for final measurement... sheet, pipe, bar... the game would be to get closest to actual measurement of finished piece/cut with a single cut maybe? If I were guessing, I'd guess something like that.

iggy wins. Atta boy.  When the steel comes in from the mill, the ends can be nice to mangled. So you need to take a "trim cut" to "square" the end of the material. You only get 1 shot per bar to get the "thinnest trim cut of the day". That's the game. Brandon won today. I was on the drill, he sauntered over and dropped a razor sharp trim on my bench. These guys are good. The thinnest spot of all 3 cuts measured 0.012" on up to 0.025". The green ones are 1.66" dia the red one is 2.75" if I remember correctly. Thin walled stuff. You should see the ones off the big stuff like 10X6X.375. It's cool watching it curl off while cutting. The red one is standing up in pic 3.
