MMM is MIA again.
So, I have faith that you players won't go to the Secret Santa thread. This was the test to see if you had seen it before. And it looks like it slipped by you. Good. You are now sworn to not go there until I have played a few more. Last year was ok, as I had time to play them before the thread closed, then post my pics. This year I was the last one everyone was waiting on and received my gift days before Santa took a well deserved nap. Good thing is, it was the 1st year everyone received by the thread end of Jan. 31. I had to post the pics fast so it could get wrapped up. If you don't enjoy surprise coins in the mail, don't enter this year, but if you do, you'll enjoy it. Just a little plug there.
My waffle weighs 5.66 grams bro, right on pretty much. They are neat in hand.
Yours with a strike is even cooler. Wonder why either got rejected.
Maybe it doesn't match the metallurgical composition to be accepted by vending machines. Caught mine early and yours later.
trig, I thought the same. Then did a bit of research and found out it was to stop vending machine fraud. Which contradicts my theory above, but other errors would be in the same situation and may have met the specs to be accepted. But, big but, because of this process, the shipment of waffles to the recycler no long needs a Mint Security escort. Think Brinks truck. It's a cost saving measure. Wreck the coin to make it unusable with a cheap to make rolling machine and save a ton on wages.
Here's some more pics while it was out.

Anyone else see the Star Trek insignia there.
