Back up and running 92 hours later. What a mess we have here in town. I lost half a red maple, a stand of 3 birch, the crab apple and umbrella trees. The twigs weighted with ice, slowly bent the birch closer and closer to the ground, then I spooked C, to come watch it settle on the house. Uprooted and peeled like a banana. All in slow motion, watched it happen.. The birch took out the other 2 on the way down. Pics later. No damage to the house, or my neighbours sheds. Pretty much every house in town has a story. Mine was manageable, others, not so lucky. keith gifted this to his Father-in-law. Because it's cool. I'm thinkin' immigration papers, passport, something like that...... I can no longer see my breath in the house. It was that cold in here.
