I have 3 MVB dollars that are not gold colored. 2 P's and 1 D. Does anyone have any information they would share? Maybe these are common, but I haven't seen any others.

My guess would be a coating or some kind of color removal, but I'm no expert. I don't think they can be produced that way...

I cannot quite tell but I assume it is a silvery color? I am not sure what it is but I can tell you that it is not missing the outer manganese layer since the inner core is pure copper. Get an accurate weight on it and if it is 8.1 grams +/-0.1g or so then it is probably plated or altered in some manner.

I think it's been altered. Can you see 3 layers of metal (yellow-red-yellow) on the edge?

The color basicily looks like a normal quarter or half dollar or SBA. I don't see the the layers on the edge. I also did not find all these coin together or on the same day. 1 P and 1 D came together in a mixed dollar roll, the other P was found about a month before. I will try to get photo with better lighting tomorrow or next.
