I wonder how many of these I missed in searching hundreds of BU rolls...

rpmsrpms , I know what you mean , I'm still finding more rpms/ddos/ddrs , laminations and every thing else going through my accumulation of over 35 years of wheat coins ( I've gone over 80 pounds of them filling 3/4 of a 5 gls paint bucket at the moment with more to go ) one thing I think is that , 20 years ago there weren't as many rpm/DDO / DDR on the sites that now we use to look for help to attribute them .and since I had kept all of them I keep going over and finding them .

That's a nice DDO. And while it may be a bit subtle on a circulated coin, they really jump out on a BU coin, although I supposed it depends on your lighting. I have one up on ebay ending tonight that I found in a roll and honestly couldn't have missed it. But I've gone through an awful lot of 1953-D rolls and only twice found any of these.
