and yet another kind word from Frog...

To me it almost looks lie it was painted with several hues of blue green and black, and is flaking off.
Where did you find this one - what environmental conditions was it in?

Hey Dearborn, this was in a jar of wheats I bought from an antique store. I say I stumbled upon it because the jar was supposed to be 1940s-1950s only.

I'd be curious to see what it looks like after the acetone bath.

Welp, gave it a good acetone bath. Do I still get the ugliest coin of the year award, Coinfrog? Cheers!

The only thing I'd be worried about is if it worked it might turn the copper coin "pink".

Okay good, I'm just honored to still be in the running Coinfrog

Marve- Yeah, I suppose it isn't really risking much given it's current condition. Hmmm

JASCO, and it's the NON-Methylene Chloride Formula, for what it's worth.
I wouldn't put that on any of my coins. But as a Science Experiment what could
it hurt, if the coin doesn't dissolve first.

I know I have doubters here, but I consider it a clean call. I have suffered some nasty replies on this, even from a mod, and it hasn't been easy to take a bold stand like this. So show us you candidates, and I will yield to popular opinion and even have a nice gift in hand for the winner
