Welcome to CCF! That is what's called a Magician's coin, made same on both sides after it left the mint to do tricks or maybe cheat people.

, Magicians coin, but the D mint on the reverse automatically means it is a silver quarter so definitely worth silver melt at least.

to the CCF, Glittergirl! The mint mark was on the reverse below the wreath from 1932 - 1964 then was moved to the obverse in 1968.

to CCF.
Hondo is correct on the MM. notice that only one side has a MM on it - it tells me that 2 different quarter reverse were put together to make this Magician's coin

The photo with the mm looks like cast counterfeits I have seen in other threads. Is it the photo?

Pics are out of focus, hard to tell, but the coin surfaces do look pretty rough. Could be a cast fake, not silver. Maybe the OP could take it to a coin store, they should have an XRF to test it.
