Canadian here planning on going to the US sometime in 2025, and looking for coin show recommendations. I'm looking for new experiences outside Canada--apparently what we call big shows here (50 dealers), Americans would consider small!

Anywhere in the US, unless they are very small or very local shows. Preferably shows where there would potentially be some Canadian goodies for me to shop for. But if not, I can still meet new people, attend talks, see cool stuff I won't ever see here.

I've seen coinzip.com and coinshows.com mentioned for show listings. Are they complete? If not, are there any other websites that aggregate coin shows?

Thanks!

How far south are you heading? We have a local show coming up in February. I would not call it large, but it is not that small either.

With the CAD at 1.43 to 1.46 you will not be
buying many Canadian numismatic treasures
at US coin shows . Your expenses will also be
an issue .
That said , if you want to go and see the unbelievable
difference in the CAN to US shows you will be amazed !
My take , find a venue with about a 100 table two day
show not too far away from you and stay a night . You will have
fun !
Coming back home make sure to declare what you bought .

I got an email and posted another coin show down here. Coming up sooner than the one closer to me.

Close to the coast, so maybe more appealing.

No exact plans yet on where and when I'd be going, it's just going to be sometime later in the year. But it would be very nice to have it coincide with some show for the experience.

Yeah, the exchange rate is going to kill me if I'm buying anything substantial. I'll need to research the customs stuff a bit - didn't think of that.

If looking purely at distance, I'm relatively close to Buffalo, NY. Someone that I met at a coin show up here invited me to go to one of the BNA shows. Their monthly show has 50 tables, not as large as multi-day shows... But whoa, a monthly, not a yearly coin show of that size?

jbuck - for a Canadian, those shows are large! I have a conflict with the January 31 show, and I don't know yet if I have a conflict with the other, but I'll write it down for now.

There are lots to choose from in the US. FUN in Orlando is happening right now. It's the biggest. There is also a summer FUN in July. It's not as big, but still very big compared to Canadian standards.
There's also the National Money Show (Atlanta end of Feb) and World's Fair of Money (Oklahoma City in Aug) that are put on by the ANA. There are various other presentations and activities at these shows, if that is of interest. The WFoM is larger.
Also a number of large regional shows such as Central States (Schaumburg, IL in Apr) and PAN (Monroeville, PA in May). Plus others.

Depending on where you are in Canada, there are also some larger regional shows you can visit. Michigan State Numismatic Society has a nice show just over the border in Detroit. Part my answer depends also on what you like to collect. Certain shows have are better for different types of collectors. If you are more interested in World/European coinage the NY show (NYINC) is a better fit but if you want a mix of US and others FUN, central states and ANA shows are more in that line.
