1947 1 Cent Error Or Fake?

Has anyone ever seen something like this? I thought it might be a fake but it all appears to be the same color. If it is real would it be worth having it certified or does it matter on error coins?

AND.. why would anyone want to fake a 1947 cent? there are only close to 44,000,000 made...?

Okay did a little more research it appears to have I guess it's a tiny maple leaf after the date so from what I read that means it was made in early 1948 with the 1947 dies. Is this correct? Thanks.

Yes, 1947 ML's were struck in 1948 while the mint awaited the new obverse dies reflecting that the kings' title no longer included "Emperor of India" (Ind:Emp), and that's also why the 1948 coins are tougher to come by - the true 1948 dated coins had a short production run.
