I can't remember if I read about a new error that they found a few years ago on the 1983 zinc cent. I think it was found on the reverse what's the one I got here looks like doubling on the obverse and reverse. Take a look at the three in the date the bottom of the three is that doubled? IGWT looks to be Machine Doubling. How about Liberty? The reverse is a little cheewed up. The E is missing from pluribus. Looks to be a grease strike. They look like doubling at the top of the bays. Thanks coin community you people Rock

I am surprised more people haven't commented. I am no expert still learning, but try to get better pictures for these guys it's a must. The three to looks like doubling and the N in cent I haven't heard of any new ones on the 83 zinc cent I'll be sure to look around d for more info. As for the bays that all looks normal and I know you are talking about the top. I used to think that was special to you learn it takes alot for a coin to be authentic error that's worth something. Liberty looks normal to me too. I have looked at 1000's of this coin. But definitely do not mistake me for am expert. I hope to find the bronze one hopefully one day. I think these guys will call this one a spender if that doesn't turnout to be doubling on the N and 3

I would bet the 3 just has an extremely well placed Plating Bubble at the end of it.

I'm thinking that the 3 took a hit; reverse Greaser; Reed Marks on Abe's shoulder.

Well, the 3 dose appear to have taken a hit, but without closeup images it is hard to tell.
And Hondo is correct with Reed Marks that have been inflicted onto this coin from another reeded coin (such as a quarter).
But I'm not seeingany doubling here.

As for the next commenter in this topic that replied a mere 15 minutes after the OP started this topic apparently in the wrong location, it was posted in the dead of night when most of the U.S. folks are sleeping, it would be no wonder that it didn't get an immediate response

You were surprised it didn't have multiple replies in 17 minutes at 1 AM? Really?

There was no reason to be surprised and lash out and laugh at a moderator explaining it to you. Adjust the attitude or it will be your problem homie.
