I have a small 17mm silver (?) coin that has defied my attempts at identification. It doesn't seem to be a fake. The Greek characters are reasonably clear on the reverse, but the only obvious section is for 'basileos' - apparently with the last two characters transposed. The obverse looks like it's the usual portrait of Heracles. Any help would be gratefully accepted.
Welcome to CCF! You could post a pic of the obverse and tell us the diameter and weight. I don't recall ever seeing a reverse like that, may be a fake.
Ah, this is a lesson well-learnt. I don't know how many hours I've spent battling with this wretched scrap of metal. Thanks, anyway, to livingwater and Tanman2001 for setting me straight. FWI, here's the obverse. It's 17mm and 5.7g (and non-magnetic). CadweyOz
