I'm new in looking into metal detecting. I need help to chose between http://www.swisslink.com/products/p...d=373&sid=10 and http://www.swisslink.com/products/p...d=376&sid=10
What are advantages and disadvantages of both?
Thanks

My first question is why would you be thinking about buying from this particular website ?

check out the Garretts and whites websites you will find entry level machines in the same price range as the generic machines pictured in the links you posted .

In that price range, I would take the Garrett ACE 250, hands down! Just my opinion.
Rest in Peace

Better yet, check out Bigg Fredd's offerings at http://metaldetectors.ecrater.com/. He's a CCF member as well as a "sponsor", and I can state that I'm very pleased with the Garret detector that I bought from him - just wish I had more time to use it.

eleven. I doubt you will find anyone on this forum with experience in either of the two detectors you posted. I would suggest you take a look at the sites suggested and check out the offering. People get very passionate about their detectors and will recommend them in a heart beat. Find a local dealer and try out a few or check online to see if there is a local club in your area. E-mail or call the president and ask to attend a meeting. I love my detector and feel its the best thing since sliced bread but I have learnt that its the way the machine is used that gets the results not necessarily the quality of the machine.
