Found this one in a new mint roll and this 1965 Canadian 5 cent has alot going for it. It has the double die 5 on the date but the most interesting thing is the whole water line network area below the Beaver is full of lathe lines. Breaking down the pictures in segments to view whats going on here. Enjoy the pics.

Nice doubling on the 5.
Lathe lines or rings are concentric circular marks seen on the fields left over from machining the working die (see https://www.error-ref.com/lathe_rin...incoln_cent/ ). Perhaps what you are seeing are polishing lines.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

A very nice doubled die recognized by JohnWayne007 in his first book. I have also found them in uncirculated rolls with the concentric lathe lines. Mine have lines in the center left maple leaf and in the protected areas of C,E and N of cents as well of what you showed. It is one of my favorite coins that needs more study by experts . There has been a few people bring them up in circulated condition so I have 8 uncirculated and 1 circulated and about 3 other people have one. Now you makes 13. A lot of dealers did not care too much about it but if you can get it recognized as a variety they might pay attention.

The roll that I have there were a few coins that the lathe lines were worn off and very faint after many striking's. I'm sending mine in the very near future to CCCS to get hard slabbed because you will still be able to see the fine details in the holder. If properly identified and certified I think some of the die hard 5 Cent collectors would have more interest in this coin type. I want to see on the holder DDR with Lathe Lines Reverse. Should have an answer by March.

I forgot to mention keep a look out for the lathe lines "under the neck", with 4 lines only. A side by side compare is exact. That was a different uncirculated roll.

I'm lucky enough to have one with cameo on the obverse but not on the reverse. It seemed to me that it was going to be too expensive to get them graded.
