In A Guide Book of Mexican Coins, Buttrey and Hubbard single out the 1938 50 Centavos as having a high number of altered-date counterfeits. Yours looks authentic, but knowing that counterfeits are out there may shape your decision to have it authenticated by a third-party grading company. Report this Post to the Staff
