Hi Guys! I'm happy to finally find a reason to come to the paper side of the forum! Lol! Even though I'm mainly a coin guy. I do look out and pay attention to the paper money also. Star notes, serial numbers ect;. Today I was just glancing through some different denominations of bills and barely noticed this two bills a $5 and $10 as I inspected them more closely I found that the $5 serial number is 01556699 and the $10 serial number is 01556999 if they were in numerical order. My question is even though the numbers aren't numerical nor identical they all are the same numbers would these two bills be close to being considered rare? Thank you for your feedback!

That would be a "no", sorry. As a general rule, if you have to rearrange the numerals on a note to make the serial number special (or in this case, "almost special"), then it's not worth a premium.

@Sap Thanks for the feedback. I kinda figured that. But I know sometimes people might have an interest in things of this nature and I couldn't find anything related to the corelation of two bills being that close to almost being identical. Thanks again! Back to the coin side I go! Lol!

That's a little too much "imagination" for those to be a pair of anything!

@Marve65 I don't know about that. I've seen some even stranger and Ludacris things happen on the coin side of ebay sales!

The only time they would be collectible is if both numbers were exactly the same.
