I found a bank that has $5,000 of the Native American dollar. Is there any point to picking some of these rolls up?

I like the design of the new Native American dollar and would probably pick up a few rolls just to have and spend.

Who knows - you might find an error or variety while having some fun looking through them. I don't know of any numismatic premium associated with them but you could help the Treasury get a few in circulation!

Someone did half of that. The teller said someone ordered them from the mint and turned them in.

I think for NA dollars you can get $2000 shipped to your doorstep.

Still available from the Mint via Direct Ship for $250 ($5000 is the maximum order)

Who knows? You might find an unlettered edge in a Direct Ship but your chances of finding one in that bank lot are probably nil since the original purchaser undoubtedly searched them for edge errors...

Is an edge error likely to be the only error found on a direct ship coin?

Edge errors(blank or doubled) are the most likely type of error to be found but the potential exists to find a clipped(incomplete) planchet, missing clad layer, or various other errors. Of course, the chances of finding any of them are quite small
