I placed an order w/ the bank for 4 boxes of 2009 Lincolns. They promised delivery next week. But, couldn't guarantee which ones they would get . If these do arrive I will be offering some of them up for trade.

Wish you luck with that. I think everyone has tried to order them from the bank with no success. Keep us posted!
Rest in Peace

Checked all six of our banks. No 2009 cents. Not expecting any.

I went to my bank yesterday, they had 4 boxes waiting for me. I flipped the boxes over and found that they were all assorted Lincolns. How fustrating this is. I guess I'll just have to buy the rolls here. I won't give up .

Had I seen this post earlier......I would have said....."Banks can order boxes of Cents if they want to, it's just that they don't get to decide whether or not they are "all brand new '09's" or whatever. It's certainly possible that that's what might come in, but they can't "request a date", they can only "request a box". So, I would have said that you'd likely get exactly what you got..... a "mixture".

Also the Fed ships out circulated coins to fill requests. They don't ship Unc coins until they are out of circulated material. Then when they ship Uncs it's first in first out. The exception to this are the dollar coins and the quarters where there is a two week window each time a new one comes out where the banks can specifically order the new coin. Outside that window their request gets filled in the regular fashion, circs, then old unc, then new unc.
