@bhmtokens. I shall try and put pics of the brochure up soon as I can. It's an odd shape because it has fold-out bits so could be an interesting little project. If what you know about Birmingham Mint would make a decent magazine article may I suggest you email info at tokenpublishing dot com who are a British outfit who produce a monthly mag called Coin News. They pay too, which always helps!

Well. I've just tried to upload pics of the pages of my Heaton's catalogue to this topic but even though the files say they're small enough to get under the bar I keep getting a file-size error message. Can't think why. Can someone help please?

Here's a pic of the middle of the reverse of a Heaton's Maria Theresa Taler struck in Birmingham during WW2. The head off the cross distinguishes it from the London/Calcutta/Vienna examples, one of which is shown here too...

The Birmingham Mint had their fingers in the US market for a brief period. In 1988 they purchased the Green Duck Corporation and in 1993 they purchased Casino Tokens Inc. USA. Casino Tokens Inc was a short lived venture and was closed in 1999 due to some structured changes in the US Casino token market. Green Duck ceased doing business around the same time the Birmingham Mint closed its doors in 2003. Here are some advertising casino chips. I believe they were made in the 1998 or 1999 as this coincides with the the name change from IMI Birmingham Mint back to The Birmingham Mint in 1998. Green Duck also made casino tokens, but I don't believe they would of used 'Birmingham Mint' on any advertising casino tokens.

Thanks Jbuck. Not sure what went wrong but after several tries I deleted the pics I'd edited and re-whatsapped them to myself and it worked. Most odd.
