Hello all.
I'm London England based and wondering if there are collectors amongst members looking for or having pre independence UK coins, particularly the 1735 George III silver shilling, many of which may have reached America?
There are one or two on the UK ebay site - one, currently bidding near £100 sterling which is of interest.

I'm trying to see if there is a general interest in pre independence coinage in use at the time and now being sold.

There are a number of our members who specialize in what I'm going to call Colonial coinage, including coinage minted in other countries that circulated in pre-Federal USA.

We have an entire forum devoted to the topic. Hope you check it out.

There are actually quite a few UK based collectors in this section of the forum, as well as our cousins across the pond. My particular interest is 17th and 18th century milled British coinage, so I have plenty of examples. I don't need a 1735 shilling as I already have this one:
