I'd give it at least MS-65! Nice specimen. Was this a rubbing or did you use the lost-wax casting technique? Best you get it off to PCGS right away for authentication; I'm certain it'll have no problems.

Well cool! I used to do that all the time when I was a young 'un. So many George VI coins straight out of change got that treatment. And that's going back a bit now!

No, it's a pencil rub. Just place the coin under the paper and hold it very still. start from the top and work down. then press alittle harder and go from bottom up. Real easy to do.

Make a few more of them, cut them out and put 'em on ebay. Call them what they are and use certain buzzwords in the description like "tribute", "rarest of all", "inexpensively fill in that hole", and "authentic copy". It'd be no different than most of the other 89CCs already listed. You'd make a bundle.

Or better yet, send me the 89CC and I'll do it...

It also occurs to me that if you sent it in to PCGS, it'd come back bodybagged with the notation, "rubbed".
