I've just noticed an error with the mintmark on this Germany 5 Reichsmark 1936 (KM94).


Here's the full reverse - the mintmark is above the left wing.


Here's a close-up of the mintmark - in hand, it looks like a 1.


Possible values are A, D, E, F, G, J.

Is it a badly formed A or is it what a J looks like?

Hmm, interesting... Would the mintmark be located on the other side behind the neck below the date 1847?

Yes, mrwhatisit is correct - the mint mark is on the obverse below 1874.
There is a picture of an 1936-J on the Numista page: https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces5218.html
Perhaps that is a small lamination.
Inordinately fascinated by bits of metal with strange markings and figures

Thank you for the correction.

I'm mortified to have made this mistake.

However, that little "1" above the wing can't be lamination because it's raised like the lettering and the mintmark.
