Hello All
Wife works retail, and is always on the lookout for interesting coins for me. She brought his home last night, looks to be an unclad quarter error? Weight is 5.51g
Struggling to get good pics that fit size limit.
Looks to be no clad either side

To CCF! The weight is pretty much on point. I'm thinking environmental damage.

Welcome to the CCF

It is not a no clad quarter. It is discoloured due to environmental damage.
Still worth a quarter though.

These pics do no justice! There is some kind of bubble on Washington's head as well, no separation of layers evident. Rather large bubble. I thought the same, environmental, bit looking under 10× or higher, there is no evidence of the clad on either side. Nice rim, doesn't look to be acid dipped imo

I appreciate each and every one of your responses! I am aware this would be a unicorn! Lol... it just looks so good in hand. The bubble on his head really had me second guessing myself, right, kinda bunks the no clad immediately, but man...

As E&V stated above, the weight would be much less if it were missing both clad layers,
so must agree with just environmentally damaged. Compare the thickness of your coin to
a standard quarter.

To CCF.

If that is a bubble, then I would think that heat has changed the color of the coin and created the bubble.
