Hello, zero experience of these but I guess they might be faked a lot since its ww2. This is sadly the only pics available, I don't own the coin but its for sale   |

yes they seems to be scarce and valuable so that raises the posibility of them being faked
Physical description
A Polish Lodz Ghetto 20 mark coin, circular and made from metal composite, the obverse features the legend "20 MARK" in centre with "QUITTUNG UBER" inscribed in scroll device over the denomination, encircled around this is the following legend "DER AELTESTE DER JUDEN. IN LITZMANNSTADT.", on reverse is a large six-point star with legend "GETTO 1943" inscribed underneath, this is encircled by a circular border interspersed with small stars at regular intervals.

Hey Moniker, hope you had a nice vacation. Yes, these coins are extremely rare and very valuable - if authentic. However, it seems that 99% of the ones encountered are fake. I would not go near one of these except through an auction house with the right expertise (WCN, Niemczyk, Marciniak, maybe some others).
And we have a member who is an expert.

Non of them has the "bend" in the inner ring at 11, might not be a valididation but still better chance I would not be willing to pay full price fo an item like this. Sometimes I enjoy finding bargains and have a hard time resisting them  . So far I have been lucky and got great help thru CCF and books. And I enjoy the learning experience The good thing with this is that full refund is offered if I win it. Its a rare peace of history of dark times.
