I've been reading this forum on and off for several months and finally decided to join. I started out with foreign coins and discovered that most collectors I've met treat them like radioactive material! LOL! I've decided to get in to 19th Century US coins, particularly obsolete, when I can find them. My favorite US Coin designs are by Gobrecht and Longacre (hence my screen name.). I have a fondness for the Flying Eagle Cebt and wish that the US Mint would revive the design in bronze or copper for an anniversary, or short event. I think Gobrecht's designs would look nice on modern circulating coinage.
